Stories That Linger Beyond the Page...

"Thomas is one of those outstanding Southern writers – seemingly soft, languid, maybe even lazy, when actually what he is, is cotton wrapped about a razor. Half the time you don't even know he's gotten you until it's too late."

                 – USA Today and NY Times Bestselling author,  Charles L. Grant

There are a lot of stories out there, and I come from people who are storytellers. I have told stories all my life. I remember clearly how much I wanted to be a writer since the day my third grade teacher, Mrs. Cox, put my Christmas story on the bulletin board when I was in the third grade (the elementary school equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, only without the big check).

Since then I have written about ghosts, clowns, vampires, haunted houses, celebrities, faithful dogs, spaceships, magicians, baseball, jazz, Christmas, haunted bridges, love, wonder, flawed people who persevere, and villains who ultimately fail. And as a bonus (for me anyway), over the past few years I have written a series of regional ghost story books for adults and middle grade folks. The kind of books I have loved my whole life.

And the ideas just keep coming.

Oh yeah...it's probably best if you don't ask why the mausoleum door is chained shut.
